THAILAND

http://www.missjasminsmith.com/2016/04/thailand.html
So, I've been meaning to blog my Thailand trip for agggeeessss now but haven't had the time because my life has been far too busy! I'm now running my business 2/47 (well it feels like it) and haven't been unable to find balance with all the other things I love to do.
I have missed blogging and communicating with people over the www and can't wait to jump back into it! Sorry in advance if I'm a little rusty on the keyboard :P

Waiting inline to board an afternoon flight to Bali and *BAM* flight cancelled due to the Volcano erupting. I could of cried, I was so excited and hadn't had a holiday in 12 months. We waited days for flights to continue but it wasn't happening. It was 8pm, we were over waiting, bags were packed and we were on standby.. until we felt adventurous and decided to book flights departing to Thailand in 3 hours . YAY!!!! It was holiday time!

We landed in Phuket and got a 30 minute drive to Patong Beach. My first impression was that it was a lot like Bali. We stayed at the Grand Mecure which was lovely and close to everything.

First things first - dinner, cocktails and sunset!
I always had this picture in my head that Patong beach was a crystal clear postcard type of beach but it was a little dirty (still beautiful but the best had yet to come).

You HAVE TO try a banana and nutella crepe (LOVE HEART EYES)

No.6 Resturant - there is two in Patong, it was hands down the best Thai food we ate on our whole trip. If there is a huge line (which there is every night) make sure you wait.. it's worth it I PROMISE!
This cost us $17au

Patong Beach - Cruise ship at sunset

PHI PHI ISLAND TOUR
This day trip takes you around to all the islands and two places to snorkel.
MONKEY BEACH
Full of VERY friendly monkeys. We stopped here for 20 minutes and there was literally 100 monkeys on the beach.. so cute!

FREEDOM BEACH
Ask a driver to take you here. It's about 10 minutes from Patong Beach. It's a bit of a hike so take lots of water, a towel and some snacks. If you want to swim, play and feed the elephants hundreds of bananas - ask your driver to stop on the way back to Patong (they will know what you're talking about).

Swimming with the elephants cost of $20au each for 30 minutes and you get to feed them a heap of bananas!

NEXT STOP
We spent half our time in Patong and the other half in Koh Samui. Koh Samui is a 45 minute flight from Phuket International. Unfortunately it rained 80% of the time we were there but it was absolutely amazing when the sun was out. We stayed at the Beach Republic and hired scooters around the island. You can scooter around the island in 2 hrs depending on your speed. I recommend going around the island and visiting all the different places, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions
NATHON - Saturday Night Markets
CONRAD HILTON
Go here for the day, so much to do and it's $15 per person.
FISHERMAN'S VILLAGE

We are off to Bali in 5 weeks and have some amazing things planned. Can't wait to show you!
