French Toast is one of my all time fave breakfast delights!
I've come up with this delicious new recipe that isn't full of sugar or loaded with all the naughties. Packed full of protein and had zero sugar added.
Enjoy the PERFECT Sunday morning breakfast without feeling guilty!
INGREDIENTS
100ml Egg Whites
20ml Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/2 Tsp of Cinnamon
1/2 Tsp of Organic Cocao
1/2 Tsp Vanilla Essence
(Optional) 1 tsp natural sweetener
2 Slices Helgas 5 seed low carb Bread or;
Gluten free bread
Top it off options;
Grilled Banana
Natural Yoghurt
Berries of your choice
Chai Seeds
Mixed nuts
Organic Maple Syrup
LET'S GET COOKING
1 Add egg whites, almond milk, cinnamon, cocao and vanilla essence into a blender and puree until a smooth mixture is formed.
2 Transfer your mixture into a flat shallow dish.
3 Soak each slice evenly on either side in the bowl of mixture.
4 Heat your fry pan to medium-high and spray with coconut oil.
5 Cook each side of your bread for a 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
6 Remove from pan and top it off with your favourite toppings or syrup.
